Annotations let your team leave feedback directly on 3D models and 2D drawings. Each annotation is a visual marker with a threaded discussion attached.

Creating annotations

Select a node with a CAD file or drawing, then use the markup toolbar to place an annotation. Annotation types include:
  • Pin — Drop a point marker on the model
  • Line — Draw a line between two points
  • Rectangle — Highlight a rectangular area
  • Circle — Highlight a circular area
  • Freehand — Draw freeform shapes
  • Text — Add a text label
  • Dimension — Mark a measurement
Each annotation has a title, description, and priority level (low, medium, high, critical).

Threaded discussions

Every annotation has a reply thread. Team members can comment, ask questions, and discuss the issue directly in context. Mentions (@name) notify the relevant person in their inbox.

Status tracking

Annotations can be marked as open or resolved. Filter the annotations list by status to focus on outstanding items.

Comments on nodes and requirements

Beyond visual annotations, you can also leave threaded comments on any node or requirement. Comments appear in the detail panel and notify mentioned team members.

Design reviews

Group related annotations into a formal design review. Reviews track status and let your team work through feedback systematically.

Sharing annotations

Generate a shareable link for any annotation. The link opens a public view with the 3D model or drawing and the annotation visible — no login required. You can set an expiry from 1 to 365 days.
